We’ll have coffee, pastries and pizza for those who come out to help with the clean up. It’s always fun, rain or shine! Bring your own gloves and small plastic shopping bags (to use as garbage bags) if you have them, otherwise some will be provided for you.

Meet at the Lynnhurst Community Center. Wear comfortable shoes (which will get dirty). We’ll provide gloves and trash bags. Coffee, Sweet Treats and Pizza will be served!

20th Anniversary Watershed Clean Up, Saturday April 26, 2014, 9:30 to Noon
- Meet at the Lynnhurst Community Center to sign-in and have coffee and rolls. We will be cleaning up the areas around Minnehaha Creek.
- Gloves and trash bags will be provided.
- Return to the Community Center after 11:00 for pizza, other activities and to view educational displays
- This is a great family event—or bring a group of friends and help make a difference by cleaning up our beautiful environs.
The Earth Day Clean-Up has become the largest community service project in Minneapolis and takes place at nearly 40 clean-up sites throughout the city. Since 2008, more than 12,000 residents have removed more than 75,000 lbs of garbage. It’s free to participate and residents are encouraged to participate by volunteering to help pick up trash in parks, neighborhoods, and watersheds. No preregistration needed.

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) and the City of Minneapolis Earth Day Clean-Up Event scheduled for Saturday, April 20, 2013 has been postponed due to substantial snowfall. According to the Park Board individual cleanups will take place throughout the coming weeks. Information regarding the makeup cleanup events can be found on the MPRB website www.minneapolisearthday.com
The Recycle Run scheduled for Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 8:45 am at Lake Harriet will take place rain, shine, or snow.
