Join us for the annual Minnehaha Creek & Creek Spur cleanup April 23.
We’ll have coffee, pastries and pizza for those who come out to help with the clean up. It’s always fun, rain or shine! Bring your own gloves and small plastic shopping bags (to use as garbage bags) if you have them, otherwise some will be provided for you.
Families & kids are welcome see you there!
Volunteer to be a point person on your block for the new Minneapolis Organics Recycling Program. We estimate your time commitment will be about 3 hours. Here’s all you need to do:
- Attend a quick training – Tues. April 19, 7 p.m., Fuller Park Recreation Center or Sat. April 23, 11 a.m., Lynnhurst Community Center
- Post a lawn sign
- Connect with your neighbors about the new program
- Be a resource to answer questions.
- We’ll provide all the materials you need and a gift to thank you for your time.
Our education partner, Tangletown Neighborhood Association, has created an on-line registration form which will enable us to plot locations of Organics Captains throughout our two neighborhoods. This will help us determine where additional Organics Captains are needed so that we can do outreach.
Here is the link to the Organics Captain sign-up form. If you know of anyone else who may be interested in being an Organics Captain, please forward this link to them.
