Buckthorn Bust – Big Success!

“Thank you to the 23 Lynnhurst residents who participated in the 5th annual Buckthorn Bust along Minnehaha Creek, on a beautiful November morning.  Buckthorn of all sizes was removed from the parkland on the south side of the Creek, east of Girard.  If you drive by, you’ll see a huge pile along the parkway which will be hauled away by the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board next week.  Join us in the spring for a Garlic Mustard Pull along the Creek.  Garlic mustard is another invasive species that alters habitat for native plants, insects, birds and mammals.  Sign-up for updates on how you can help at “
