There has been a lot of interest in curbside organics recycling among Lynnhurst residents. According to Minneapolis Solid Waste and Recycling the city’s goal is to have source-separated organics (SSO) curbside collection in place by 2015.
Details of how collection will work in Minneapolis are still under review. Some details include carts, vehicles to haul the material, where the material would go…etc. For example, because of the EAB (emerald ash borer), a quarantine on moving wood waste outside of the County precludes the option of collecting organics along with yard waste—a type of co-collection that is done in other cities
