New paper and plastic materials  added to the City of Minneapolis recycling program

New in 2012

Include with Paper/Boxes

  • Food and beverage cartons (milk, juice, soup, broth, wine)
  • Refrigerated and frozen boxes
  • Pop and beer cartons
  • NO pizza boxes, egg cartons or other paper soiled with food

Include with Plastics – all bottles (including attached plastic caps), containers and jugs numbered 1-7

  •  yogurt cups,
  •  pudding and fruit cups,
  • margarine, cottage cheese and other tubs,
  • microwavable food tray,
  • produce and deli container
  • NO motor oil bottles or other bottles that held hazardous waste or styrofoam
